Experience guidelines not working. Players unable to join my game

Reproduction Steps

Set parental controls to either of the following:

  • All ages
  • 9+

Expected Behavior

I expect players to be able to join my game according to the experience guidelines I set.

Actual Behavior

Players who have parental controls set (all ages or 9+ only) are not able to join. I have received complaints telling me my game no longer lets them in. Which makes me think this is a recent change.

Personally, I would see this as a critical impact. With this bug, a significant portion of the Roblox playerbase will not be able to play certain games anymore. Really hope Roblox fixes this soon!

I think thereā€™s a typo in your post. ā€œAll gamesā€ would be under the 13+ setting as that also includes all places that have not taken the questionaire.

Ty! I edited the post. Itā€™s all ages, and 9+. All ages is the most restrictive parental control tier (right below 9+)

Players with 13+ can join the game.

itā€™s treating my experience as if I didnā€™t fill out the questionnaire (13+)

This is not currently the case from what Iā€™m aware, until roughly the end of the year, experiences who have not yet filled out their questionnaire are treated as ā€˜all agesā€™ iirc. So it seems to be treating your experience as if it was rated 13+

This would be incorrect if it were working as intended, as seen below:

Thank you for the report. This is an intended behavior and unrelated to the Experience Guidelines. We recognize the confusion it causes and are working on improving our systems to provide more clarity on why an experience canā€™t be accessed.
