The Roblox website experience icons, commonly known as “games icons,” are not displaying in high quality. This issue impacts the visual appeal and user experience of the platform, potentially leading to difficulties in identifying and selecting games.
Reproduction Steps
Visit the Roblox website using any web browser.
Navigate to the games section or any page displaying game icons.
Observe that the game icons appear pixelated or low resolution.
Compare the quality of these icons with those displayed on the Roblox Universal App for confirmation of the discrepancy.
Expected Behavior:
The game icons on the Roblox website should be displayed in high resolution, maintaining their visual clarity and quality.
Thanks for reporting! I do see that the quality is different between “Expected” and “Reality” images.
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you’re seeing on the Roblox Universal App? It doesn’t appear significantly different from Web for me.
Also, this might take some time for us to fix, since simply increasing the resolution of these images will impact page load times. Thanks for your patience!
Although it is barely possible to distinguish the difference between who is more in the lowest quality resolution, they are somewhat following the scope of being a good quality so players can identify the experiences
@skpm_plz is the issue fixed now? was just searching around because my icons quality looked off and found this and wondered if this is the issue or something else
Is it also rolled out to the Universal app? I can notice the difference in the quality of icons on the website when logged in vs when logged out and the difference is actually huge and noticeable, but it doesn’t look like that this is rolled out to the Universal app yet.
Looking forward to have that too on the Universal app. I hope it won’t take that long. I feel like we need high resolution icons more there because they kinda look worse than how they did on the website previously or currently right now for logged out users.

Are there any updates? High Quality Resolution icons still haven’t rolled out to logged out users and the Universal app yet. It feels like this issue has been forgotten.
This is not the highest priority item for our team and so it’s unlikely to be addressed that soon. It is still on our list to fix, but we are currently overextended as we have many features and issues to address across Home, Search, Charts and Experience Details Web and App.
Appreciate the patience and rest assured that we have not forgotten - We want to improve the website and app just like you do. I’ll let you know when a fix is on its way!
