Sometimes when joining an experience will result in slow loading for assets, for example meshes, GUI objects, local scripts and results in waiting indefinitely / character not spawning - have to rejoin multiple times in order to get into it successfully
Expected behavior
Joining experience should be smooth, fast without the need of rejoining multiple times
Based on the logs, the root problem seems to be the same as for the other issue with loading places in Studio - HTTP requests are timing out when loading assets. I saw in the previous thread that you’ve already tried resetting your WiFi connection and even reinstalling network drivers; thanks for trying all of these already. Have you by any chance experienced the same issue on other network connections or on other devices? So far, I haven’t been able to find any recent changes or issues that might cause timeouts to happen more often and our metrics don’t seem to indicate an overall increase in timeouts either. Sorry for not having a real solution yet; I’m continuing to investigate but so far I’m thinking it might be a network connection issue
Thank you so much for looking into the log! I will make sure to try with other network and devices when I have chance to get access to them
Some things I have also tried but so far with same result:
Connecting via VPN to another region
Disabling anti-virus / firewall
Might I ask if Roblox server will rate-limit / soft-ban some of the ISP / region IP address? If’s further information is required, I could provide my current IP address and region that I’m staying in private message for investigation I’m currently contacting with ISP as well to see if they could provide some information as well
I tested this with a VPN and it seems to work just fine when connected to a server in the same region as me. Disabling my anti-virus/firewall has done nothing, similar to @LeonightsTV 's post.
Looking further in, when looking at the failed HTTP requests, the server responds with a 500.3 error with the following comment: “ASP.NET Core app failed to start”.
I hope this helps!
EDIT: I’m not exactly sure if this is the exact same issue or not, but might as well guess!"
EDIT 2: Sometimes the VPN helps but does not fully solve the problem.
Hi all, still haven’t received any indication this is a networking problem outside of local traffic - if there’s any more info to provide such as recent reoccurrences please let us know. If there’s a specific case of a specific region being blocked that would be helpful to know as well.
Having an issue similar to this at the moment, I used to be able to enter this place but now it loads in, shows the baseplate, reports a huge amount of failed to load asset, and kicks me off and says I lost connection with the server.
The place is pretty big as it holds all our assets but we definitely were able to get on it before. No logs are being produced I think, just met with RCC-277
