Experience Searching Broken

Reproduction Steps

Search any key word for your favourite game under Experiences, you will get no proper results, only vaguely similar names, most of which are rip-offs of the actual game you’re looking for.

Expected Behavior

I expect experience searching to return relevant, accurate, and most popular results, as it has done decently well in recent history.

Screenshot of the top 4 results for the search term “horse” just a few days ago.

Actual Behavior
Inaccurate search results.

Just saw this, and can say this is happening to me as well.

Thanks for reporting this. We’re looking into it

The experience search algorithm has been going insane for me for months, now. Last year my experience was one of the first ten results for “army” and then it was suddenly bumped hundreds of places down in the same search, significantly reducing my experience’s traffic. I have a Palace game too that used to be first for searches for “Buckingham Palace” and now it is over 100 searches down. I think the search algorithm needs to be looked at much more closely to investigate why sudden massive changes like this might happen.

The issue raised by this bug report has been resolved. Thanks again for posting this!
