i’ll keep watching this post, i hope the people who genuinely thought this update was a W idea get fired. roblox really be doing the Try Not to Do Updates Nobody Likes Challenge (100% FAIL) right now, i really hope this update stays cancelled indefinitely

Unfortunately I just don’t think this is the case. ROBLOX has BILLIONS of active users on the daily, most of whom are literal children. Furthermore a very very very very very small fraction of their income comes from the overwhelming majority of games on ROBLOX, most of it actually comes from accessories and robux. Most of what little money does come from games is all from huge games with massive studios behind them like Adopt Me, which can easily adapt to this in a short amount of time.
Unfortunately even if everyone who’s seen this post boycotts ROBLOX and even if more do, I just don’t think it’s going to do much. If anything it’ll make ROBLOX slightly change it.

somethings was removed today theres some things such as adding a ugc to profile which thats within the collections only way to fix it was through the collections api

Honestly, it really isn’t. For over a decade, Roblox has toed the line on intellectual property, not only recently turning a blind eye to copyright violations (something I’ve talked about extensively in the past), but also violating them themselves in the past, with Hats and Gear that were clearly taken from other IPs.
I honestly find the path Roblox is taking now days funny, because everybody predicted it years ago on the old forums before they were removed in 2017.

I believe the worst point is that so many successful games are depending from these assets. I don’t see a point adding this policy just because of the fact how many games will be in trouble right away. I am talking about big games that are using Roblox’s stuff sometimes even as a core element in their games. So many creators are now victim to the new policy, I don’t know what I have to say…

Is this a joke? Can you imagine the impact this will have on the community, how many games will collapse (big or small), and how many things will change? How many people will leave the community because of this new policy? And why does this policy apply to Roblox assets? It’s so weird not to be able to use Roblox assets (Roblox gears) inside Roblox. They should think twice before implementing this policy.
