When I search for an instance, select it, and clear my search term, the instance becomes hidden under collapsed folds. The explorer should expand any paths and scroll as necessary to keep the instance visible.

This should be fixed now in the latest versions–0.10 is what you will be able to upgrade to with a few restarts.
