i believe i know the fix for this issue. would you mind showing how you are putting the texture onto the part?

Sorry my kids closed off all my windows hours ago. This is what opened up when I started Blender again and loaded the sword in.

This was the handle’s color.

if you are using multiple textures then do it with 1 texture because you cannot use multiple.

well each part has different color and textures. If I make it one mesh part it’s all the same color. I usually just color and texture them in studio but I didn’t like the metal texture in studio so now I’m attempting to color in blender and just export the completed model as one mesh instead of 5.

you need to change it back the way it was when it was making it 1 texture and then editing the other images ontop of the texture and fitting all of the swords sides into the texture as you cannot use multiple textures.

I’m not sure I understand. I want to make single mesh items like these

Is there somewhere out there that explains how to make single meshes for roblox that’s not too difficult to understand?

Roblox does not allow you to import a single mesh that uses multiple textures.

you must combine the multiple textures into one texture for it to be a singular mesh.

I tried using

and it did this…

so I figured it was good. It will actually save like that but in roblox all the colors and textures are gone.

But as you say it’s now got multiple textures.

Hey there, maybe this video can help you:

unfortunately i do not think this is the solution

You need to make a single texture for the whole sword.

Have you taken a look into UV Unwrapping? It allows you to color each individual face of your sword, which should allow you to have multiple colors on your sword, although you’d have to convert the sword into 1 model for that.

Also, if you wish to use PBR, I’d suggest looking into Surface Appearance.

This may help:

Yeah I jsut tried this. it works I suppose but the sword is so dull looking even though I changes the metallic properties in Blender.

More research is needed.

Try setting the matieral of the sword in roblox to metal, maybe that does the job?

Idk yet. This looks metallic in Blender.

In roblox studio the Reflectance doesn’t do anything so I’m stuck with Materials only.

the problem has already kinda been solved but the metalic property in blender doesnt work in studio and you can use roblox materials on blender models try looking into surface apearence its the link that @SwitchedDreams sent in his response

for the texture thing its best to have your blender model as 1 part like you did when you joined it if you were just using the basecolor property in blender it wont work and is much better to use uv maps

anyways kinda the same thing everyone said but hope this helps
