External Level Editors

I’ll keep it short, is there any level editor that I can use for roblox studio? Something like Unity Probuilder. Building in roblox studio just feels so slow

One way to potentially speed up your workflow is to use a combination of Roblox Studio and Blender. Roblox has recently added features that make it easier to import large amounts of meshes into the engine, so you can use Blender to create your models and then import them into Roblox Studio. This can help speed up the building process.

Additionally, there are a few ways you can speed up your workflow in Roblox Studio specifically:

  • Make sure your scene is optimized. This means you should avoid using too many parts and unnecessary scripts.
  • Use the " Edit > Import 3D Model" feature to import pre-made models into your game.
  • Try to use as few scripts as possible and make sure they are properly optimized.

It’s also worth noting that generally, a faster PC can help with improving performance in Roblox Studio.

  • Using better hardware like SSD hard drive and higher-end graphics card also help with the speed -It’s always good to clear up your cache and memory when you are in Roblox studio for better performance.

Keep in mind, it’s important to make sure that your PC is in good working condition and that it meets the minimum requirements for running Roblox Studio.

Additionally, you might want to consider using building plugins in Roblox Studio to speed up your workflow and add features that you might be looking for in Probuilder.

There are several popular building plugins available for Roblox Studio, such as RbxTools, building tools, and Studio Enhancer which provides a variety of tools and features that can help you create and edit your levels more quickly and efficiently.

For example, these plugins offer:

  • Advanced snapping and alignment tools
  • Ability to copy and paste parts between different places
  • Adding Custom Gui features -Easy duplication of parts
  • Creating and editing models more easily
  • and many more.

These plugins are easily obtainable through Roblox’s own built-in plugin library, so it’s worth taking a look and see if any of them can help improve your workflow.

Note that, it’s important to be aware that some plugins can affect the performance of Roblox studio, so it’s recommended to test them on a small project before using them on a big project.
