Extra large avatars ruining my experience

Occasionally someone will somehow have an avatar so large that it covers portions of the map. This has been a bug for a few months now. See images:

We tracked down one of the characters, and this is his outfit, plus extra info:

You should report the players/avatar items as needed, they get removed really quickly. You could check if the items are too big by checking the extents size of the avatar character.

This is just an acknowledgment announcement!

We’ve filed a ticket into our internal database for this issue and will start investigating, we will update you when we have further information.

Thanks for flagging!

Yes, can you please report this item for moderation? Ty.

I’m not the OP so I don’t have access to the item links, sorry

In the short term, we will investigate these assets, but in the longer term we are also working on fixing the root cause. Stay tuned!

Thanks! I understand it may be something that’s not so easy to fix.

As my game has hundreds of thousands of players come through every day, it’s impossible for me to monitor the clothing on every avatar. I won’t be able to report every asset. A fix to the root cause is definitely needed.

Our developers are currently working on a workaround fix- to determine if a player’s clothing is too big, and if so we’ll delete them. I look forward to hearing updates on this bug report!
Thanks

A bunch of these are genuinely just items you shouldn’t cause to get moderated, as the cause is just the combination of them.

if a month was 365 days i would agree

Hi folks,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve identified several Accessories that are problematic in this particular case, and are actively working to have them removed from the Marketplace.

We’re also going to improve our moderation / validation process to prevent these sort of situations from happening again. In the meantime, if you see or know about an Avatar or Acccessory that is causing issues, please let us know.

Thank you again!

Just thought I would share this extra info with you: Our developers have created this system to blacklist UGC items via a google sheet, connected to our game scripts. This will delete backlisted items from avatars in our game. Check it out

(obviously this is only a workaround, and really isn’t ideal for devs to handle)
