I want to make it so that roblox studio is usable ;-;
What is the issue?
When I open roblox studio, everything is okay. But once I open a game, studio becomes (as the title says) extremely laggy.
This has been going on for a while now, but I didn’t really mind because I wasn’t using roblox studio… But I have some inspiration now, and I want to use it.
I think I’m supposed to show screenshots, but that’s not how lag works… and I don’t really know how to record my screen.
What solutions have you tried so far?
The first thing I did was google to see if anyone has had the same problem, but I didn’t find anyone with the exact same problem. I the decided to re-launch roblox studio, and sometimes it’s not laggy, others it is… Almost every time I launch it it’s laggy.
I also wanted to reinstall roblox studio, but I’m scared to delete it because I feel like my privated games might get deleted…
I wanted to try to delete my plugins, but again, I can’t do anything with so much lag.
I’m sorry if I’m using the wrong category, but there wasn’t a “bug report” category.
I have recently had the same type of lag spike recently. I fixed it by checking Windows Updates and ensuring that everything is up to date, my graphic drivers as well. I went from 5-10 FPS and I am back at my regular 60+ FPS in Studio.
I think I fixed it… I just went to settings> rendering, and set “editor Quality level” to 01 and “Frame Rate manager” on… I don’t know what they do, but this seems to have fixed my problem. Thanks for replying! I really appreciate the help.
I hope there’s nothing private in that screenshot…
That’s not really a solution, I can’t develop my game with how laggy it is and making studio look bad doesn’t help me see how it will look in-game. Please fix this ASAP Roblox. Windows 10 Home Single Language 21H1 19043.1586.
Solved this, it was totally unrelated. There was a random Humanoid object parented under Workspace, which caused this immense lag. Deleting it fixed the problem.
The lag still exists… sometimes setting the graphics mode to “No Graphics”, relaunching roblox studio, setting them to “Automatic” and relaunching it again fixs it… It’s a little tedious, but it works for me :l
