Hi
I’ve uploaded a video that is 720p. Unfortunately viewing it in a VideoFrame makes it super low resolution. You can barely see a thing… I’m guessing 144p or even lower.
Is this normal for the first day(s) after upload?
Any way to fix this?

I put the video frame inside a screengui.
Resolution is limited to this in properties.
Original resolution was 720p, and I uploaded through roblox studio’s Asset Manager.
I’m having this issue too. I uploaded a video on November 17th with 3840x2160 resolution, and the video frame reduced it to 160x96. I know large videos will be reduced in resolution, but it’s not supposed to reduce this much. Plus, 160x96 isn’t even 16:9. The video frame is inside a screen GUI and scaled to always be 16:9. I have no clue what I’m supposed to do to fix this.

Hi @apenzijncoolenleuk1 @Shadow_Cat81 - would you both be able to supply the video IDs you’re experiencing this with?
Adding onto this comment here:
What does the setup look like for your VideoFrame + SurfaceGui? What are the SurfaceGui sizing properties set to? What is the VideoFrame Size
property set to?
My video id is 100675506286195
Thank you for helping
As for the setup, My video frame is under another frame set to fill the entire screen under a screenGUI. the video frame itself is in the center of the screen and fills up 66% of the screen’s Y axis by scale and 100% of the X axis with a UIAspecRatioConstraint with 1.778

Thanks both. Investigating this with the team and will get back to you, might be a bug on our end.
This seems to be fixed for me.
The video plays at full resolution now.
Perhaps it just needs some time before allowing full resolution to play?
Thanks.
My video’s also fixed now at 1280x720 resolution. It looks so much better. Thank you!
Glad to hear, thanks for the update.
We’re currently working on some video performance improvements which caused this issue. We’ve reverted the changes for the time being and will investigate further before re-enabling. Thanks again for the help.
