Let’s say my topic gets a bunch of spam replies that are all against DevForum ToS for a specific reason and therefore I will need to flag it for “Something else”.
However, as this creates a private topic DM with the moderation team, there is a delay between the time I can flag posts. It’s basically just a topic creation limit which I think shouldn’t apply to flagging posts (however I don’t know if I will be killed for this because I am proposing a solution rn instead of just saying the problem)
Just a FYI, the “Something Else” flags aren’t really that effective when you have people like sensitivesence intentionally approving spam and troll posts. Like for example, sensitivesence thinks that this post is perfectly acceptable and fitting for the devforum:
To be fair though I guess that’s what you get when you hire brand new anonymous Roblox accounts to be on your moderation team. Every single time there’s a rogue moderator it’s always some throwaway account that nobody knows how it got on the mod team.
I honestly agree with you. I feel like they are alt accounts just to have fun on as moderators. I am requesting help from staff and I requested it on Friday and still nothing. But yet, if I do something wrong on a Sunday I get flagged. This is outrageous.
If you’re flagging this many posts, then flag them as “Spam” or “Inappropriate”. There’s very little chance that moderators will actually go through all those messages and take action on each one.
Speaking of flagging as “something else”, it does seem pretty ineffective because (same as @CraX_573) I just get the “We agree there is an issue” reply (also from sensitivesense coincidentially) but no visible action is actually taken. This happened on a portfolio I reported in Collaboration > Showcase Your Portfolio which used misleading AI generated photos as past work.
