It keeps giving me this error, but I know the animations are under the group. Both the game is under the group with the animations also being under the group. I checked like five times, they work just fine when the game is under me, but, never when they’re under my group.
Is this a bug or what? I tried this same thing on April but nothing, how do I fix this?
Did you ever figure out the solution? I have an update to release this weekend and none of the animations are working after I reuploaded them to my group
You don’t necessarily have to use the animations uploaded to your group. If you are the owner of the group, you can use the animations owned by you. I’m not sure why this is problem is occurring, but you’ll be able to use the animations without re-uploading them as long as you’re the group owner.
I’m not sure why this is happening or what the cause of it is (and the new error), and to my knowledge it’s just try and error or republishing that fixes this. This has been an issue for over a year for me now.
Here’s an animation (ID: 18228414710) that doesn’t work in the experience under the same group for example.
I’m not really sure what the cause is. It might be a bug someone will have to report, but sadly I don’t have a group to experiment with this on. Maybe try reaching out to someone in Developer Relations about it to see if it’s an issue the engineers are aware of.
At the very least, the animation should work fine if it’s uploaded by the group owner and you use that ID instead. That might be part of the problem? That it’s confusing the ownership of the asset somehow? Really don’t know.
Edit: I might be mistaken about it working if the group owner owns the animations. If I am, please let me know.
I was able to fix my issue by overwriting the existing animations by uploading the KeyframeSequence under the imported model to Roblox - Studio allows me to right click and publish the model, but set it as an Animation, but unfortunately that seems to not work.
Leaving this here in case if this can help anyone else, but I know I had this problem in the past with newly created animations in the Animation Editor.
