Hi there! For some of my builds, I plan on adding fairy lights to make them more lively. Just one thing… How exactly DO I make fairy lights? This might have an easy answer, but I’ve tried everything I could. I’ve looked on the devforum, tried it out in studio, and even googled it. I’ve gotten only bloxburg results and such, which don’t really help at all.
For the lights I think you could play with a particle emitter, to make a flickering particle, and i think your best bet for the string would be blender.
To start off with your fairy lights, you’re gonna want to make the ropes. The normally-curved rope is easy with the RopeMaster plugin, and I will explain how to make the other rope (this will require Blender)
Start off with a single vertice or deleting all the other vertices in a circle and leave one (one of the dots in the picture) and then extrude it (E), and move it up and to the right. Then do the same but this time the vertice will go down and to the right, and then repeat. this will make it look like several lines going up and down (a zigzag). Once you repeated those steps and made a long enough line, do Alt + C to make the meshes a curve.
Here is an example of what Alt + C does in blender:
