Fan made egg hunt game for a competition

I’ve recently been working on an egg hunt game for a game-making competition being hosted by a youtuber. The submission date is finally here so I can release my game to the public.

Feedback is highly appreciated.

I forgot to mention that the theme was “Classic egg hunt”.

Feedback:

  • The sword givers only check if there’s a sword in your backpack, not your character, so you can pick up a second sword if you hold the first one in your hand.
  • Some Z-fighting on the face of this hill (this is at the foot of the village):
  • Maybe I’m impatient, but I’m not a fan of the way that the egg collection screen immobilizes you (although you can exploit the fact that Korbloxians can’t attack during this time to get some free hits). If the egg just briefly flashed on your screen before disappearing without preventing you from moving, it might be better.
  • There are a few spelling mistakes in the scientist’s dialogue (strage, enegry, definantly).
  • I wasn’t paying attention the first time when the scientist was telling me the controls and had to restart to figure out how to dash. Being able to access the controls after that dialogue might be helpful.

Thanks for your feedback! I’ve fixed and adjusted some of the things you mentioned and the game is much more polished now, despite not having changed much.

The aesthetics definitely feels like classic roblox, my only compliant is how do we get the eggs. I don’t mind wandering and exploring the map, the only problem is that there is 0 context what so ever on how we can get the eggs we are missing.

For example, I’ve collected most of the eggs by exploring the map, but I happen to have missed the Vine Egg, now I have to go all around the map again and look at every nook and cranny there is.

And the moon egg, I just never found it :skull: a few guesses I could think of on how to get it is to kill all the Korbloxians before midnight ends, as they only appear during the night where the moon comes up. But never could as midnight would end too fast.

Edit: Nitroloooorrd!!1!

Alright, I’ll make some of them easier to find. The moon egg is found in the upper part of Pangur Village, and you have to jump on a blue mushroom and it sends you up to the moon.
