Fantasy Forest Village (Dev Blog)

Hi Everyone!

Recently I’ve been working on a fantasy forest village for a project I’ve planned to start in the future, I’m looking for feedback and constructive criticism or anything anyone thinks I should add to the map that would make it look better or add more to the atmosphere of the build.

(Everything in the map was created by me in Roblox studio and blender, except for the minecart at the entrance to the mine, that is a free model I’m using as a placeholder from toolbox)
(I plan to replace the houses and lampposts in the near future as they are just placeholders that I made quickly while I work on a more detailed replacement)

Can you send some screenshots of the build?

Not everyone has the time to play the game.

Here are some screen shots of the build (Sorry they weren’t uploaded initially, didn’t have access to a pc over thanksgiving weekend) @Dolphin_Worm

I just finished updating one of the buildings in the village itself, I plan to update and further define additional buildings in the future, this one is an inn

I designed a couple new little assets to continue building, I’ve since moved onto building in a separate game, but am still using the same assets.

The barrel I designed myself in blender, the crate I did make myself in Roblox Studio but it’s pretty generic

If you can, add some interior to the buildings

Due to the way these are built I can’t build an interior within these buildings, but I might create the interiors of a few in a separate place/instance or somewhere else in the world and have players teleported to them

Working on some more models, and another building

The swords are my first attempt at modelling weapons in Blender, still figuring out how to texture and turn them into tools, for now they’re just for show.

The anvil was also my first attempt at an Anvil in blender, I felt good about the way this one looked (Since it kind of follows my low poly-esc style)

Everything else in the picture is done in studio

Here’s the final result of the blacksmith in the village itself, I need to work on some lighting (lamps etc) to brighten it up a bit, but I thought this looked pretty good.
