"Farming Adventures!" in Open Beta

Awesome game! The ui is beautiful and intuitive. The animations are great also. The built is really good.
I have see that the game can become a bit laggy sometime, mainly when teleporting or watering the plants.
Other then that the game is really cool!

This is absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see where this goes!!

Also, love the concept of gems instead of just robux purchases

EDIT: YEEEAAHH MY ALT IS ON THE LB

Thank you for your reply Gabe,

Glad to hear that some of the suggestions are being considered!

The new implementation in crop inspection sounds great.

  • Since you guys have a short tutorial maybe expand that so players are able to know all those features, such as worker and worker upgrades and the crop inspection icons and features.

I completely get what you mean by the terrain situation.
Personally I am slightly leaning more towards having a ground/leafy plot and giving the players the ability to add grass.,

  • Yet this idea only wins by less then a hair, because of aesthetic purposes the grass would by far look better then just leafy/ground, yet the visibility issue will be solved.

I whipped up a quick demo game of grass visibility just to show the differences in grass, ground, and leafy terrain, If you’d like to check vvv
Grass Visibility Demo.
along with that it has what it potentially could look like if when a single crop is placed the terrain changes to ground from grass? (Which may entirely fix the problem)

I’m just minorly concerned that if the terrain painter isn’t released there will be people who are wanting grass back into their farms.

The play time is probably linked to the slow progression, its not too rewarding to play longer then that for the average player as of now.

The NPC upgrades are a feature as well, and I agree possibly making the prices slightly lower and more balanced (this applies to the first 1/2 NPCs) because the game has a slow exponential gain. The fact that each worker has a cost gradient should be kept.

  • Possibly adding a worker multiplier of some sort can both give more reason to have NPCs early game (and upgrade them), and also speed up the early game by some.

Once again thanks for the reply. I’ll make sure to keep updated with this game.
(If there’s community communication I’d be glad to join!)

Good luck to your team,
-Sail

Edit:
I’m going to continue playing the game and keep writing down some notes and feedback since I do enjoy the game still, Its just a bit rough at the beginning.

I think the shield in the plants info gui is the total money you got from it since you place it.

EDIT: I tested and I can confirm: the shield is for the total net worth of the plants. We can also find the shield when we look on the player stats.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, all of which will be considered and thought through. As you might know, Roblox’s terrain only works in a 4x4 stud grid. If the terrain under a crop is painted with leafy grass/mud/ground it might end up looking strange due to our 1x1 stud grid.

We’re still looking for ways to make the grass look better. We’ve thought about adding settings to disable it entirely. Sadly, Roblox doesn’t make it too easy to simply lower the height of the grass.

As you mentioned previously, the speed of gameplay is a bit slow. We’ve got a few suggestions to change that, so it’s pretty high up on our priority list. We will do our best to speed things up as soon as possible.

Agreed. We’re looking for ways to increase a player’s motivation to keep playing (other than getting new crops.) We’ve thought of adding a leveling system or extra things to do as you wait for your crops to grow. Let us know if you’ve got any suggestions!

Absolutely! We really want to keep our players and fans updated and happy. Our Discord server is linked under our game and group. We have a suggestions channel that is commonly looked through. All suggestions are considered and thought about. Alongside that, we never add huge updates before asking the community about it first. They’re our first priority.

Thanks so much for the feedback, it really helps!
Let us know if you’ve got any more suggestions.

Happy Farming!

Thanks for the feedback.

We just released v1.25b (which is only available on new game servers) which addresses many of the lag issues.

After my short gameplay I found the game overall enjoyable. Though it definitely has a simulator feel to it (so not really my type of game)

Thanks! We plan on adding a few different settings so that players may disable things that will cause lag.

Gameplay is great and enjoyable in my opinion. The lightning is pretty bright accompanying the loudness of the thunder, which I recommend the ability to turn the lightning off, I was playing pretty late at night and it hurt my eyes. Also, I don’t have the best pc, but I can run most Roblox games, but the Farmer’s Market is really laggy, even on the lowest graphics. If I turn the graphics up to 2 or 3 it gets 10x worse. But overall, really good game, well made; I really like the UI.

Thanks for the feedback! In version 1.25b we have greatly decreased the lag. Your server was running version 1.25, which still had lag issues.

Yep! I am playing right now with no lag! Also, I tried playing with an Xbox Controller, and there was no support for it. Is that planning to be added?

At the moment Xbox isn’t planned. We hope to spread to mobile then Xbox last.

You have to hover over the leaderboard for it to work.
