Firstly, I have been working on some farming tools for my game Kingdom Life 2, and although I quite like how they turned out, I would like to know if there’s any ways I can improve it. I want to take the next batch of farming tools for my next project, Kingdom of Hreinngar (Name still subject for change) to the next level. Are there any ways I can improve my models? Any stylistic choices that could be added or removed? Maybe I’ve overlooked a tool that you think I could have added?
Secondly, I recorded the whole process. The full process of making all these tools as well as UV unwrapping and texturing it took 5h 1m 1s, and I poured it all into a time lapse video. I tried to make it entertaining and I do still quite like making these videos. I was wondering what you think of the video? Is it interesting or fun? Maybe it’s boring? Is there something you would like to see changed? I’d love hearing some feedback!
I would give them a kind of dirtied/worn down look, just to make it seem like they had been used, these ones would look great in a store or if you have a progression system for deterioration then when fresh bought but for continued use in what I assume is an 16th-17th century they look a little too clean and perfect, some rust, dirt, maybe a bit of split wood, just to make it seem like theyve been used alot
they look really nice as is, but i agree there should be a way to change the wood grain direction because the handles kind of look like if you took plywood and made cut-outs of the tools
