As a community manager for a group, it is difficult to interact with our members less than 13 years of age as they are not permitted to use Discord and other similar services. Sure, there is the group wall and group shout, but it’s not very interactive.
We believe that interaction with this age group is worthwhile and will further grow our community and despite their age, some may provide valuable feedback and worthwhile ideas for our games.
I am suggesting the introduction of a chat for groups service, with functionality similar to services on Discord and Steam chat.
Some ideas:
*Customisable channels, for example announcements, game updates, suggestions.
*Chat permissions can be set according to group roleset.
*Usual Roblox filters will be applied to all content sent via the chat system.
*Pre-moderated images can also be sent via the chat system.
Currently my community uses a Discord server, however we would want to accommodate for those under the age of 13 as well.
Roblox providing native group chat functionality could prove valuable for large groups.
