Feature Requests Category

I’m a dev currently working on a game involving the catalog via AvatarEditorSerivce. As there is a throttle limit of 100 requests per second throughout the whole experience, we know this won’t be enough as our sponsored ad budget alone will cause higher CCU leading to people facing the 429 error and most likely leaving as a result. However, on the documentation page, it states ‘to request an adjustment to this throttling, you can submit a feature request’. The feature request takes you to the forum, and the ‘Feature Request’ channel itself is locked for regular members.

I would like to know how I can post my request for an increase on the forum without access to the channel? Thanks.

You can request entry on @AllowFeatureRequests but I don’t think they’re accepting submissions right now.

That’s the issue. I’ve already applied around 2 weeks ago now. We plan to release within the next 2 - 3 weeks, and we went all out on making this game, but we’re relying on Roblox to increase our limit before release, so there wont be any negative boundaries effecting our players’ experience. I’m hoping they may see this, and increase our experience limit.

Unfortunately, even if you did have access to the category, they would not be willing to increase the limit in 2-3 weeks due to the category’s inactivity..

I think Hooksmith, a staff member who focuses on the forum, will see this soon and help you from there. The docs do tell you to make a feature request to ask for more, so I have some confidence.

I would’ve thought it’d scale based on CCU like other request limits, but the docs don’t say. Maybe that can be forwarded to the right team internally and/or clarified on the docs.

I hope so. I agree it would be much be better if it was a scale based change. But since it’s not, I want to avoid this problem occurring before releasing the game.

Hey, thanks for the heads up about this. Let me reach out to the team to get it fixed. I do hope we can open up feature requests soon, we’re working on it.

Thank you. Here is a link to the unreleased experience I’m looking for an increased throttle limit on. We plan to release within the next 2 - 3 weeks, so we hope to have a slightly higher throttle limit before then.
