Hello! I just started working on a Crime Investigation type-game and I was wondering what features I could put on my to-do list to do. Thank you!
So you’ve chosen a Crime Investigation game uh? Good for you, I think you should add some fighting, and different cases, (maybe something like Jailbreak, where criminals do crimes, then investigators find the criminal, policemen get criminals, and criminals escape prison, etc. (maybe even add a citizen team, where for example, the criminal kills the citizen, then the investigator goes etc.)) maybe different areas, like casinos, or banks, or maybe even space stations, currently I don’t have many ideas, but if I’ll have more I’ll tell you, good luck
Edit 1: Maybe make it so there’s an NPC that gives criminals objectives (kill Guy1, rob the bank, make the house of Noob1 explode etc.), and after the criminal does that, the investigators are warned, they go to find out, then after they found the guy, the policemen goes to take the criminal, and the criminal either gets to jail or stays free, if the criminal stays free, he gets a reward (in-game currency, weapons, vehicles etc.), if the investigator finds the right criminal, he gets rewarded, and if the policemen gets the criminal they get rewarded, if any of the teams can’t achieve that, they are either get a negative reward or nothing, and for citizens I don’t know, maybe just make them like a “relaxing” team.
Perhaps like a party game split up in two teams, investigators and criminals. One person has a specific crime to do and when they do it they have clues (i.e few digits of the User ID, Username, First digit of the account age, etc. etc.) that the investigators can see on their notepad. They get it right, the criminals are in jail and can either explore the jail or spectate other players, if they get it wrong, however, they lose rep (like a life system) and they have 3 rep. Just a small idea lol
