The design does not really look sleek, it seems like most were put together in less than 3 minutes. I recommend putting a lot of effort into detail.
I think you did a pretty good job if it was your first try but,
I think you can try to use materials and use Blender for making cars. I think a screenshot without the characters might help me to help you better. And yea as @vtric said I think if you put more detail into the project would make it better.
I suck at blender is it was kinda just to see what I can do in a few mins lol
