Feedback and Tips On How To Shade Better On My Clothing?

Hey there! I’ve been designing for a few weeks now, and I think I’ve got the hang of it. However, my shading is not so great in my opinion, and I’m hoping to get some advice and feedback on where to shade and the best way to shade. The program I use is Paint.NET for shading and creating my clothing.

Here’s some examples of my attempted shaded clothing:

Thanks for taking the time to read this. :slightly_smiling_face:

Wow, these look amazing! Why aren’t more clothes like these at the front of the catalog…lol! Anyways, honestly, the only thing I can see is that in the top-right piece, the bottom of the armholes have that stripe design and it is very sharp and kind of feels disconnected from the rest of the piece. I feel that possibly a slightly thicker line pattern would fit it perfectly!

Those clothes have been designed really well! Some feedback I can give you is that maybe remove the watermark when showing others the clothes because it will give them a clearer look of the clothes. Overall, looks great! Also, can you import these designs into Roblox, and show how these clothes look like on a Roblox avatar? Anyways, looks great and the shading looks fine in my opinion! Have a great day!

Your clothes are extremely impressive!!! How can this be made with paint.net… You should make a tutorial or a video to show people! And I think your shading is amazing!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I’ve been told that I should make YouTube tutorials and I was planning on doing so this week!

These are so good and realistic! I have been failing at shading too (cause I do it on IbisPaint X on my iPad), but I think your shading is great!
