I’ve been building for quite a while and decided to take a break from commissions to build this beauty. I was inspired by a post on an architecture website and decided to take my turn at recreating it in Studio.
It would be great if I could get some feedback on what to add or change. Keep in mind that I’m still working on the bedroom seen towards the back of the picture. Thank you, have a great night/day!
I absolutely love the structure and your use of textures. Here are a few idea:
Darken the wood color to look more stained and finished because right now it looks like raw unfinished wood.
Make a black or dark wood coffee table to go in front of the couch area instead of a white tiny table. The darker color would tie in well with the thin black windows and kitchen’s dark furniture and light fixtures.
Change the light fixtures hanging in the kitchen to be a little bit more lightweight. I feel like they are heavy and not sleek.
The use of textures and colors matches with the overall setting. Due to the dull colors I find these strive for more vibrant colors make the colors pop more.
As getting inspiration from reference images that’s a good way to improve your skills, glad you got inspired by something and decided to recreate it you have made quite good progress with the use of textures they don’t look out of place but I would try fixing the colour scheme.
However, in terms of the layout, try giving the ceiling more objects such as hanging lighting, maybe have some that are facing straight connected into the wall.
Looking at the kitchen I think you should at least throw some lighting because a few of the areas seems a bit off the green color, maybe strive for a brighter one messing around with the lighting could achieve that effect.
