Hey! For my game: King of the Hill, now called K.O.T.H Simulator, I have completely changed the style of gameplay and finished on the shop. As it is a major update to my game, i’d like some testers.
What i’d like feedback on:
Gameplay
Currency
Items
Music
What I am going to sort out but feedback would be appreciated:
I think its an okay game. Its quite simple and the gameplay will get boring very fast. Add more objectives and activities, allow players to use coins to buy stronger weapons and armour to defend their hill, and allow players to use coins to unlock new levels of walls as defence, but walls should cost coins to place, and should not be saved to be balanced (and higher level walls should be more expensive to place).
I like the concept, but it needs some more engaging gameplay and it could be quite fun!
I also agree with A4_1111, the map is quite lacking and also the hills are quite close together, perhaps make a medieval countryside designed map rather than a basic rectangular map?
I think it still needs some major things added, first of all:
How do i progress?
How do i get a sword?
etc
These will be questions by future players and many will not be able to figure it out properly meaning they lose gameplay and get bored, one simple solution to solve this which is absolutely needed:
ADD A TUTORIAL
Also some ideas to keep gameplay interesting:
Add enemy ai which tries to kill you, this will make the game more fun when there is no other players however make it so the more players in the server there are then the less ai which spawns so things are balanced
Add more weapons
Add more variations of coins which give different values
Add different rarity of chests, these can be found or bought and they can be opened to say give a new weapons, coins, pets, weapon skins etc
Add more detail to the map i.e trees, this game is a simulator so its main attraction will be of a younger audience who like brighter colours so make the map more vibrant overall.
I also suggest changing the donation board, the amount you can donate is bad for you i suggest changing it to:
10 R$
25 R$
50 R$
100 R$
250 R$
500 R$
1000 R$
and more if you want following the same pattern
I based the game on a stage mechanic based of ‘Unboxing Simulator’ in that each stage can be purchased, which should make the game more fun once I complete the further levels.
I also played around with NPCs in the first version of the Game and I got a basic idea on how to implement them.
I was thinking about weapons but completely forgot about armour, thanks for notifying me about that.
