[FEEDBACK] Feedback on my first GFX

Of course, I cannot personally judge you as I have only made 2 GFX using Blender. My first GFX was quite bad and my second is so much more improved. But I can definitely, if you can take into consideration, tell you how to possibly improve.

Here is my GFX I have firstly ever made firstly installing blender.

First ever render:

(It is quite bad, but my mistake is how I can help you fix yours.)

This is my second and most recent GFX improviing from the last.

(Obviously I have renders without watermarks)

But how I improved was definitely putting up the lighting facing the avatar. This is exactly what I personally think you should also improve to have beautiful lighting. I see you may have some glossy effects and background light. But you can put about a 2000 light power to the front, then a 5000 at the back. (I do not know a lot about blender).

In conclusion, you should add more lighting to the front. You can also move the right hand (the one on the waist) out by the shoulders and then move the wrist back a tad bit. It does not have to physically touch the avatar, just phantasm it is. This is from personal experience. I did that with eating the cheese on that second GFX. You can kind of see the shoulder is out a bit, however, if you do not pay close attention, it makes sense.

For anyone who is really good with Blender or GFX making, I am not the best with GFX. I have only made 2 ever GFX. I apologize if I said anything incorrectly.

This is also my first official reply on the DevForum :eyes:

Pretty average for a first GFX.

I rate it a 5.5/10 not too eye-catching, try getting advice from other GFX designers how to improve your GFX.

Nice job, keep up with the good work! :tada:

It looks alright. For your first render, ever, it’s mediocre. However:

  1. It looks quite dark. It can be brighter.

  2. The background is just plain gray.

  3. The right arm is literally in the body.

  4. The torso looks badly twisted and disfigured.

It’s okay, but it needs work.

Really impressive for a first gfx. Judging from the smoothness of the character, I assume that you used PaintRigV3. The pose is great. I recommend duplicating the light you used and put it on the other side of the character. I’m telling this as an experienced gfx designer. I had the same problem too when I was getting started. I’m sure this your renders will improve by the time. So don’t be disappointed and keep it up! :slightly_smiling_face:

It does not look bad at all as far as the render, but I would add more light and a more contrasting background to make the render stand out more. Hope this helps!

Thanks for helping! I will try to improve my skills.

Crisp render, but needs brighter lighting. Keep it up!
