Looks good, the middle and right guy need more bending but other than that it’s good. How do you make GFX with grass?
Well, I’m not sure if I’m doing it in the best possible way. But what I did is I modelled the grass manually in Blender, and then just used a particle emitter, set it to hair and then increased the amount of particles.
Thanks! (30charsssssssssssssss)
Looks, Outstanding! Just one thing I would say for you to put on the people. Maybe some Glasses It looks plain on the face area.
Besides that.
Looking, Very outstanding.
It looks really good! The one thing I might say is that grass doesn’t tend to grow like that, so I would add more grass to make it a little thicker brush overall.
Just noticed this:
The leg of the first soldier, is, unattached?
Usually, one of the “sins” that “Animations Sins” sees, is called, “World Border” which is notable here.
But even with that, that GFX looks awsome, good job.
Didn’t even notice that! Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it.
Looks great! I’ve always wanted to learn how to make GFXs, where did you learn?
Hey thanks. I actually learned it from a channel on Youtube called PicklePie. It’s really simple to learn if you already know Blender.
I have it but I find it hard to use and navigate.
I highly suggest watching this video on how to navigate through blender, since this is what helped me a while back. @Aka_Ethan110 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILqOWe3zAbk&list=PLa1F2ddGya_-UvuAqHAksYnB0qL9yWDO6&index=2
Thank you for your help! I will watch it now.
Oh wow, that GFX looks extremely good, especially for a first time using grass. Though, the grass to me looks a little odd and stiff. The reflections or beam of lights on all of them makes it look a little strange. Although, keep up the great work, good job!
This GFX is pleasing to look at! Only thing I can really give you is that like 0dqx said, the grass does look a little stiff. Maybe try having different blades going in different directions and different lengths. Otherwise this is really good work!
It looks good, but the leg is problematic.
Great work for a first try!
As said above, I do agree that the grass looks a little stiff. You’ve modelled it great, but maybe have a few pieces bending here and there, maybe a few darker and lighter pieces, just anything to make them all look odd/different from one another, as grass never looks the same in real life. If you ever wanted finer grass, there’s numerous tutorials on YouTube on how to create grass with the hair tool in Blender.
Also just a minor error, but on the left subject, the left leg seems to be detached from the torso.
As for the lighting, I actually think it’s pretty decent! Lighting is a tricky thing to work with, but the things to keep in mind are what kind of atmosphere you’re trying to create. If you struggle with lighting, you could always try using a HDRI which will give you enviromental lighting that’s been pre-made. It can be a lot easier to work with, and there’s thousands of options to choose from. Then instead of having to constantly move a light around to find what you like, you can just rotate/move your entire creation to position it to where you like the lighting/shadows.
All in all, a great job for a first try! Way better than mine looked.
The grass should get a texture to increase the quality, even the smallest things help.
Add more hairs to the grass. It looks like some patches of grass and it makes the GFX look really crummy. Good job though!
