[Feedback] First Roblox GFX Renders

About Me
Hi there! I recently got blender and tried creating a render to use as my twitter profile picture. After a while these are the renders I got, I would love some feedback!

I mean, my definition of a render is a full body with a pose, but I guess this will do. It’s very simple, just a head with a hat, you should try doing a full body with a pose.

This was one of my first renders:

Thank you for your feedback! The purpose of this render was to use as a twitter pfp, so I figured a head would be better.

These are very good. I think though, the flag on the second picture is kind of blurry around the actual flag pole. Same with the first picture. Quite blurry there, but overall very nice.

In terms of Twitter profile picture design, this could benefit from being a smooth vector-esque design as opposed to the current shaded version (i.e., shadows being present).

If you have Photoshop there are likely tutorials on how to achieve something like that, and equivalents for GIMP.

Edit: I will note that I dissent from the view that it should be a full-body render. That is entirely optional. My suggestion also mostly stems from the lack of a face on the current render, which tells me that you are looking for a simple design.

Is a nice render, but very simple. You should do a full render of your roblox character, and add some effects and a background to it to make it look a lot better. One thing that really stands out is the american flag, it looks very pixelated and blurry. Which needs to be fixed, you’re on a decent start in rendering.

Howdy,

Overall I actually quite like your first render! The lighting is spot on with really none of the usual issues that typically plague one’s first GFX. And, the render is absolutely suited for it’s intended purpose. Fantastic job!

Personally, I disagree with what other’s are saying here that your first render should be a full body or that it is too simple. It’s perfectly acceptable to do exactly what you did. Take this process at your own speed. I of course encourage you to tackle more advanced projects in the future but what you did here is establishing very important fundamentals that you potentially could have lost out on had you tried to make a full bodied render your first time in Blender! Secondly, I disagree with the comments that say your render is “too simple”. If your goal is to make a Twitter profile picture than this is perfect.

Blender is a very difficult software to learn and what you have so far is excellent progress and no where near as horrid as my first render. That being said, I sincerely hope you continue to make GFXs and I can’t wait to see more of your work on this forum.

Great job!

Thank you so much! And I do plan to make more complex GFX. I actually just finished one.
