Skeuomorphism

What do you think of having glass [Skeuomorphism] for design, or flat design? Still gonna choose this thought for future what-if replied

Reply with Skeuomorphism or Flat as your title and reasoning, polls are not showing votes for some reason
I used iOS and Windows 7 for design to make 3D UI Designing work, but trends are constantly changing

Skeuomorphism feels really outdated. Reminds me of iOS 6 and all the old websites that still aren’t updated with today’s preferred design. Simplistic catches the eye more now I feel like as long as you use the right colors and the right placement, kerning, spacing, etc.

would you like the Gradient or which removing?

You don’t have to necessarily remove gradients but get rid of the glossy feeling. Some companies have executed gradients perfectly on their platforms such as Spotify. I would stick with subtle gradients, nothing too flashy.

Ok button [top] looks better than overused detail

There should be a more subtle gradient. The colors should more similar to each other and less noticeable.

I would go with a dark outline and turn up the transparency too. I will make a mock up for you in a second.

I was going for something more materialistic, not sure if you were thinking the same way but for materialistic there would be possible subtle hints of gradient but barely noticable if you use the gradient and no outlines.

I made a design just before you replied, 2D flat transparent button with visible white borders, I made this Ui to see what would be good for a game

wait, here’s 3 designs at least, two of them are good

well… I think you’re misunderstanding Skeuomorphism; Where in an element is designed to relfect real life objects.
