Feedback for FPS game

The game is called “Project: Mercy” kindof inspired by Phantom Forces.
It uses the RCM gun engine, which I modified a bit already, with Killfeeds, XP, and Rank system.

I have been working for months on the game already, and I’m still planning on adding alot of new features and improve already existing ones. Tho I don’t have any people that can actually give me feedback or ideas for improvements to the game, so I’ll ask here, if anyone could give me some ideas for improvements and feedback!

The AI might stay temporary, because ther’s no players playing

Gameplay:

  • Sprinting could be optionally set by the player to be toggleable. This would be a nice QOL change.

  • Leaning could be optionally set by the player to be toggleable. This would be a nice QOL change.

  • The inventory could be made custom instead of using the default ROBLOX hotbar, which isn’t as
appealing. This would be a nice QOL change.

  • Kills could feel more rewarding. Take Battlefield V for example, where a kill plays a satisfying
sound and displays to the player on-screen who they killed and how. This would be a nice QOL
    change.

  • It should be noted that leaving the prone position flashes the player’s name on their screen. If
there is a way to hide a player’s nametag from themselves, it would make a nice QOL change.

  • Many modern shooters have two modes of sprint; gun-down sprint (what you currently have), and
full-sprint, where the weapon is aimed upwards and the player is granted much higher sprint
speed with the drawback of a slower aim time coming out from the animation. This could be
bound to a double-tap of left shift. This would be a neat change and would make the gameplay
    slightly faster-paced.

  • After a player has emptied their weapon they are forced to press R in order to reload it. Some
shooters will auto-reload the weapon after the player left clicks with it being empty. Depending
on the intended flow of this game, this could be a nice QOL improvement.

World:

  • During sunrise the lighting seems to become extremely green. This can be a bit of an eyesore
after a while I’d imagine, and would make a nice QOL fix.

  • It should be noted that there doesn’t appear to be a boundary for players. I walked all the way to
some massive wall which had collision turned off. Adding a boundary can help combat unintended
and / or unwanted player exploration.

  • Removing the decal from the spawns and making them fully transparent is a good way to combat spawn-killing, as it will take longer for a player to learn the spawns of a map.

Overall:

This game looks good and promising, it just needs some personal touches that define and separates it from other shooters. Looking forward to seeing this game progress, you’ve done a great job so far!
