Feedback For My First Game?

I released my first game about 3 weeks ago. It’s an obby, which have a reputation for being low quality and kind of bad, but I thought I could bring some value to the genre, so please give me some feedback. I’m still constantly updating it, and I hope for it to get a few thousand visits.

Personally, i don’t like the portal in the beginning, i think it’s just not executed well. Personally i would go for a lobby type area in the start, with a fountain or something.

Also the game is kind of… soulless, by that i mean it’s not really satisfying to reach a checkpoint. You could add vfx, or some kind of cool effect when reaching a checkpoint. Just don’t make too many effects.

Overall, it’s good for your first game.

psst also make it so you can’t get a checkpoint when you are dead, it kinda let me skip a few stages.

I agree with the portal; I didn’t know what to put there. I’m currently working on some effects when the stage changes, and I forgot to disable the checkpoint update when the player is dead. Thank you for your advice!

wdym it doesn’t loop? Do you mean it stops? It’s supposed to switch between 5 different songs.

I mean for a first game it’s alright. It’s not the best quality wise cuz all the levels look straight up free models but for a first attempt it does what it saids it’ll do. So good job for making everything work! I recommend making the spawn area more lively and adding background music. Other than that, decent game!

I made all of the stages on my own, I tried to make the first 10 easy (because the target audience is children) and they get more complicated. I am working on the spawn area, and I’m not sure what’s wrong with the music, it’s supposed to loop between 5 tracks. Thank you for the feedback!

This is my first game, so I thought I would make something simple. Do you have a better suggestion for a title?
