Feedback For My First Game

I just finished my first game! I released it about a month ago, and I’m making the last update now. Any feedback? I know it’s just an obby, but I figured I would do something simple for my fist game and try to get some experience.

I’ve tried the game, and all I have to say is that it’s a generic (even more than generic) obby with clickbaiting title.

Feedback
  1. Difficulty level is inconsistent. It goes from very simple to simple to normal and then randomly back to very simple.

  2. The stages are repetitive. There’s a lot of stages where you just have to jump on the randomly scattered blocks in the line, and then the stages that really feel like they were copy pasted.

  3. Bad stage design. Some stages that I noticed to have a bad design are 91 and 97 (if i remember correctly), they’re hard but not in a good way. Due to character’s animations player’s legs touch the killbricks which makes it very annoying.

  4. Disappearing parts and slippery parts must have a constant color (or maybe different texture/material) like killbricks, so that the player already can see what kind of stage it is.

Suggestions

The only suggestion I have is to add dynamic parts. Like conveyors or just moving/rotating parts. It would be a good scripting practice for you and would make the obby just a bit more diverse.

Overall than that it’s pretty nice for the first game. I wouldn’t recommend on focusing on this game and instead move onto making a new game (simple as well but just a bit harder than normal obby).

Thank you! This was my first try at an obby, and I wanted to get something out to understand the process. I hope to make better games soon.
