Feedback for Swords

Hello all!

It’s been a while since I’ve asked for feedback, though I’d like to ask for some feedback on my first attempt on swords. Looking for some constructive criticism if any as I’d like to continue to improve my skills.

(Top is a Glacier/Ice based style, bottom is lava based.)

I do plan to put them into substance painter at some point to give them a stylized touch, but for now I have left them without textures.

Thanks!

It’s perfect.

From what you’ve shown, there is not much to critique.

I recommend to make a very basic collision part, which is just a rectangle. I also recommend turning off shadows.
This is for performance optimization.

I can’t critique your sword on a lot of stuff, like topology, since you haven’t shown things like that. I’d love to see the topology (the placement of faces and vertices and such), and give criticism based on that.

I’ll make sure to get an image of topology later on for you, though I didn’t focus on it really as I’m still relatively new to blender but I’d be more than happy to hear your feedback and possible tips for it.

Thanks very much for your feedback, Taras!

These swords look AMAZING! They’re very good and realistic! Nice job on them!

I like them also. Maybe bevel the outer edges of the sword blades , to give it some more ca pow sharpness…
