[Feedback] House with a Garden and Shed

Hello there!

Fellow Developers, please give feedback and building advice on my
house build.

I’ve been building for almost a year now, and I’ve watched many tutorials on the topic.
I’m not for hire, and I am not selling this. This is just advice.
I have no access to mesh tools and the lights were edited off of a free model.

Game Link:

More info on the game there if you read the description.

FYI it would be easier to send screenshots instead of sending a game link.

My feedback:

I know you said that you only used studio meaning no meshes, but I believe that your building quality can increase a lot if you use meshing. Otherwise, try to make the furniture and other things not as blocky. The lamps and other things need to be scaled down so they don’t look oversized.

I believe you can increase the quality in your building greatly by learning more techniques and using meshing.

EDIT: I didn’t see the fact that you don’t have access yo meshing tools. But if it isn’t parent restrictions then here is a free program called Blender

Uhh it would be easier with a screenshot instead of a link

What I dislike

To be honest, it needs a lot of improvement.

Have you ever seen a tree with a branch so far out? I like the trees, but the branch is way too unnatural.

The windows don’t look good. At all. Sorry… Being honest.

For this, the mat and the pebbles are WAY too thick.

As for the interior, the ceiling is too low (and the pebble texture is odd), the chairs are unnatuarally high, and it feels blinding inside.

What I like

One thing I like though is this little shack! I also like the well.

In The End

Even though I have said majority of criticism, don’t feel down or anything. Any build by any builder gets critiqued, it helps you become better. Keep building! And keep making awesome builds!

Thanks for the feedback! Interior is not really my specialty and I look to improving on it in the future.
Also, I didn’t mean for the windows to be very small, I didn’t really notice that when I was making them.
I might make some changes to the lighting as well, as some of my friends have said that it may be a bit to bright inside. Anyways, thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, I might add some screenshots as well. In my opinion however, I think it is better to see the full game in one rather then seeing little bits of it. But, I will add some screenshots as well. Thanks!

Thank you! I will see if I can get it working.

Alright btw sorry if i was a bit rude

Nice, except it’s very amateur. I’ve been building for nearly 3 years, and I didn’t do this good at the beginning! Overall, it is pretty good considering you have only been doing it for less than a year.

Thanks! I really got in to building stuff on Studio about a year ago. Before that I just spammed free models into random templates. I’m glad I’ve came this far, but I’m hoping to improve!

DM me if you have any issues I can help you out with!

Would love to see some screenshots into this post, it will make it a lot easier for us to give feedback on your build. But here we go. The textures of the builds, I noticed you’re using the normal roblox textures, that don’t look that great. It would make your builds look a better if you added better textures, and there’s a vast variety of websites that provide free professionally made textures for you to use. One of my personal favorites being this website. At the moment the lighting doesn’t go with the game vibe, considering you’re using realistic lighting whilst the game looks more like low poly. Which using textures will fix up, if you don’t decide to use different textures you might as well change the game lighting to something that fits the game a lot better.

Thank you for the feedback! I will try to implement textures into future builds. I might just build a simple cabin home to test them. I might mess around with the lighting a bit because right now I just went with what NoirSplash used. But anyways, thank you for the feedback!
