Hello, I would like to get some feedback on this, I’m trying to make a old Desert Temple and I would like to know how it is. I know that the light isn’t well handled I have some difficulties with this so I’m opened to any suggestion for it. It’s not finished yet I will add some rooms ect…
This temple looks awesome! The yellow crystals could be made a little less yellow, maybe more orange to better follow the general theme.
Aesthetics
The temple looks ancient and unique. I think that you could add a bit more lighting, for example lighting shining through a crack in the top.
And as for the pillars, the pillars look a bit odd from the back, I suggest making them round, around all angles.

It looks horrible! I am just kidding! I love your lighting and the build for your temple! My suggestion is to try add traps for players trying to get in.

I will, the third screen show a little parkour with spikes if you fall but there will be more traps
Roblox amazes me - in 2009 the best games were blocky survive the disasters, sword fighting tournament, etc… This map looks great and the lighting adds a nice touch.

Your temple is very good, although it is inconsistent.
I recommend that you put more things in it besides torches and columns, besides, would a destroyed temple have lights on?
To get around this I suggest adding more natural lighting, perhaps a hole in the roof of the temple and some vineyards descending there, some desert plants.
It would also be nice to add a statue to the temple or a treasure room at the end, after all, the temples of something must serve. Could the temple entrance be more eligible, like a river going in? This river could pass through the whole temple looking like some kind of energy, and players walking on a half-broken stone path.

The few issues I see here are that the lighting is a bit too dark light in real life lighting doesn’t make shadows pitch black so you can try touching that up a bit. The first image instead of having those little fire pits or whatever they’re called you can replace those with torches on the pillars itself instead of having those things on the ground, add a bit of ruble around the temple to make it feel more like it is in ruins and maybe a bit of destructive work on the pillars too. In the second image, you could do the same thing as well, make it a bit more destructive and more in ruins, and add something more than just lighting and pillars if you can.

The inside should look dark from the outside, but if it’s too dark then you can’t see where you’re going even though in real life everything would be at least somewhat visible. Real human eyes have a pretty high dynamic range, but AFAIK the Roblox rendering engine doesn’t have anything like it. It was showcased in this hack week video a while back. You’ll just have to try avoiding really extreme contrasts. Adding a bend in the corridor just after the entrance will make it look dark, but allow you to light the rest of the inside better.
