[Feedback] I need some advice on this pathway

Hi,

I’m working on a path way that leads from the main town to a more secluded area with an inn and tavern.
It feels a little empty though, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to improve it.

Thanks!

I don’t really feel like the road is empty, but if you think so, I recommend putting a sign leading to the main town and boxes for no reason near the signs…

Small props or some variation in the sizes of trees and lamp formation (if this is leading from a forest) you should only include higher tree sizes to improve the pathway. The pathway looks good as it is but if your wanting to include more items “vegetation” you could possibly throw a few props such as sticks, lanterns on the flooring, perhaps a bridge in the middle and then it cuts back to the rocky pathway.

However it depends if this is coming through a forest? A poster or something similar to a sign showing what town your entering.

If so I would add variation to a few of the trees. Start with something like placing 2 tree sizes of and try some different things with just those items until you see something you like. From the start it’s good tree sizes depends if this is leading into a forest or something similar to that.

This looks very nice, and is already very detailed.

Since this looks like a possibly medievel styled game, you could have some boxes around the places just to fill in some place, also i’d heavily suggest adding more buildings / small stores/stalls around the place just to fill in the realistic enviroment

But I do believe this is a very nice looking build.

I am presuming this build is for the Kingdom of Hreinngar.

Using contextual and provides clues such as the Scandinavian background and buildings resembling architecture from 1485-1603, also known as the Tudor Period (though probably the late Tudor Period), I will attempt to provide an feedback which would have been acceptable at those times. However, I won’t disregard the fantastical elements either.

Background Information

With the presence of mountains and hilly terrain, I would presume the region where the Kingdom of Hreinngar is in the North of Norway. This would mean that the freezing and thawing of rivers and such would usually cause damage to houses and roads. Of course, it is very possible that there’s some magical presence protecting the houses (as having houses like those in Northern Norway would be madness) but casting such a large spell on entire roads would probably be difficult. Along with erosion from repeated use, you would probably end up something like this.

Now, considering the road is next to a settlement or urban area, what would you find when entering such a place? I will use a holiday location as an example, what stalls are present in shopping centres or busy roads? Most likely souvenirs of sorts. Of course, these stalls were built for modern purposes. However, no think what would have been the 15th century Scandinavian equivalent? Most likely merchants if some short. It wouldn’t have been uncommon to see wagons and such by the side of roads entering settlements and merchants offering their good to wandering travellers.

In my opinion, the road is amazing with clear depth and realistic materials. The only thing I could think of what some items by the side of the road. I hope my feedback will be of use.

This build is actually for Kingdom Life II, not KoH.

Thank you for your lengthy and detailed response, though.
