Hey guys! I’ve made a lobby for a game that I’m currently developing on my own, which is a type of obby game. I think the lobby is a bit empty, but it’s still in development, so I can always add more things.
I’m also in no means a builder, I’m just your average friendly GFX artist.
I think it look pretty good :D, I like how you have a variety of trees size and color but different type of tree would be good too. Some minor things like rock and flowers is important too. In general though your build look pretty awesome :D.
Overall, it looks great. The style and color palette are excellent and unique. I would, however, recommend that there is a central point. A central fountain or building that the buildings surround would give a place for all the players to meet and interact rather than walking a non-centralized lobby.
You seem to have only the corners and half of the map with the trees and vegetation, try and add unique parts to the lobby such as large rocks in the distance, different variety of tree, bushes, benches, mushrooms ect. Use these trees to place all around the map, not just in the centre. Try adding some buildings or shops so players could buy things while they wait in the lobby.
I feel as though the lobby is lacking, so if you could finish it a bit more, and maybe add some buildings or shops, I think that’d go very well within your lobby.
The design of the lobby is really good. I like how you added a marble pathway, but a good majority of it is still open. Maybe provide some examples below to have players enjoy the lobby even more while they are waiting for the time to end/start.
Any sort of obby
Secret rooms
Spleef
Spinning Platform jumps
I highly suggest you take a look at the DEATHRUN lobby, because their’s is really good.
This is a great obby for any round based game, it is not particularly boring, and has multiple attractions. Minor updates could be small natural-looking objects in the areas that are a little bit lacking.
Looks amazing! I love the low poly style and feel. You pretty much nailed it in my opinion for just starting out. My suggestion would be to take up some of the map space with something other than trees… maybe add something to do or something to explore other than trees. Keep up the good work!
Looks really nice! Love the low poly trees,
Like other people have stated some areas do feel really empy especially in the area between the fountain and the trees and could get some more love.
