I started work on a Low poly Ruins map for quite a while now, and so far I think I’m almost done. All I need is feedback, All models were made by me (except for the torch). This isnt a game, this is just a showcase, that i will be using for a game.
Please give me feedback (I know my game isnt perfect, I can feel something misssing)
Also theres 2 modes, darkness and light. Darkness you will need a torch to navigate bc its dark, but to truly see the build, you will need to go on tp pad go to light mode where u can clearly see everything.
It is quite literally the same pillar and tree model pasted over and over again. It’s certainly a map but it lacks any real flavour or dyanism.
Don’t get me wrong – the pillar and tree models look stunning, but some variation would make everything a lot better. Create a place out of them – don’t just spatter them across some flat terrain or it will end up being too bland.
The lighting needs much more smoothing out, try adding some fog and bloom to add a bit more of an environment to the place. Also make it darker, even when the moon is shining directly it is not that bright. Add a slight tint of blue to the ambience.
Exactly what im trying to do. I have no idea how to do that. I need bloom which i think i could do. But fog i couldn’t find anything on, if u have anything that could help with fog link it here
@Solar_Wraith I have now implemented fog and lighting. I don’t know if I should tweak the fog or the color correction. Also I removed the night (darkness) but if you suggest that the night time theme is better than daytime I’ll revert back to night theme. Also if you have a suggestion with weather (rain, windy, normal) tell me. I might start experimenting with rain. (I wrote this before u sent me the link to enable fog, Idk if my fog is the same kind of fog in the link)
