Feedback needed for my game

Hello guys, yesterday I used 12 ad credits (First time using ads management) on my game called Blox Down Comedy, in this game you basically wait until it’s your turn, then you sit in front of the crowd on stage, and perform your jokes (Basically a stand up comedy game), you’re able to throw tomatoes on the person performing, also you’re able to join the stage as a heckler you’re also able to send a message/suggestion on screen and a like. The problem which I had yesterday was that people who join leave within a minute, and most people leave while performing. I’m assuming it’s because they’re under pressure for being in front of a crowd. Also I’ve had some people complain about ui which I could totally understand as its all over the place. I would like for you all to give it a try and just give feedback, tell me what to change or whats ugly and whats good, the pros and cons, and how I could fix for people to stay longer than a minute.

These are the stats from the ad yesterday, is this above or below average? I’m not sure what to make of the stats as I’m not informed enough about ads.

Here’s a link to the game: Blox Down Comedy! 🎤 - Roblox

Thank you for reading.

Your stats for the ads seem decent compared to what I have heard from other places. Here is what I noticed was good and bad:

Bad:

  • The soda bottles fall off the counter. (I don’t know if this is intentional)
  • The UI is not awful, but it overlaps and is somewhat disorderly in its placement.
  • The VIP pass doesn’t give any information on what benefits the player receives.
  • The NPC can be seen when in the game, shown in my image.

Good:

  • The wheel is a very interesting and sometimes overused game design component, but you used it effectively and allowed players to purchase them with currency other than Robux, making sure the game isn’t too pay to win.
  • The shop UI is very well made, and the pricing of points is very good, encouraging players to buy more points.
  • I liked how you could buy jokes for points.
  • I liked how the buttons turn slightly when you hover over them, instead of just being still.

This game has a great and unique concept, the only major things that need fixing are the UI and the NPC bug. Other than this, your game seems to be working fine!

Your ad stats are not the best. A good ad will get around 0.003-0.006 cpp. You should use a better thumbail. The pro strat is to have 10 different thumbnails and try all of them. Are you using the new ai ads manager? I find its way better than the old one. Your play through rate is not terrible, it could also use some work though.

I don’t really understand how to play and also the UI is kind of janky. It would be nice if it felt more modern. Or actually it doesn’t really matter the style it just feels sort of cluttered.

This game has the worst UI I have ever experienced on Roblox. Here are my suggestions on what you should do urgently:

  • Group all “extra” buttons (twitter, gifts, shop, chest) into one area of the screen, make them all the same size and aligned with each other
  • Reduce the button tilt. It’s very easy to miss a click because the button moves out of the way, which is hilariously annoying
  • Do not start in the TV Show camera view. I was confused why I couldn’t move my camera before I realized that there’s a small button off-center called “Watch the performance” which finally let me play the game. I can see how players choose to leave immediately after realizing they can’t even play the game without having to play hide and seek with your UI!

There’s a lot of work to be done, but implementing these changes should make the biggest difference for the player. You can do better than this, and I imagine you’d get a lot more recurring players once they find out they can actually get past your current UI and play your game.
