Hey guys! This is my first time posting here, and I’m proud to present a fairly early version of the project I’m working on, Noob Onslaught!
I’m looking for any sort of feedback: Things to change, things to add, things to remove, and bugs to fix! Any feedback is appreciated!

It’s pretty confusing to just be thrown into the match. An optional tutorial would be nice. It’s also hard to tell what’s going on in general, so I’d add a lot of visual and audio cues to the most important things. I’d make the noob counter be in the top center of the screen, along with information about the wave (number, “title” if it’s as special wave, etc.) Add hit sounds and particles when you land a hit, right now you’re just “swooshing” at the enemies until they (hopefully) die. I was standing there swooshing the despacito boss for a full minute before I realised that it was still beyond the gate and I had to get even “closer” (inside it) to hit it. Add hit sounds + animation to the castle HP bar, and show which enemies are currently damaging it. It doesn’t make sense that they deal damage when they’re outside, so communicate it clearly to the player with an attack animation, hit sounds and particles.
It’s unclear what happens when you die. Do I loose progress? Will the game end sooner?
I can’t get to the boss because a menu keeps opening when I get near the smith.
How can the wave end when there are still noobs left?
The music is really good, and the game is pretty fun right in the beginning because the weapons do enough damage to feel powerful. With more content and polish, I’m sure a younger or more casual audience would love it. Make sure it works on mobile devices.
For me, it got boring after 10 minutes. For it to stay interesting for me, it would need to have deeper combat mechanics and a reason to want to get far into the round. Seeing what kind of enemies there are is almost enough, but what about the next game? Then I’ll have to fight all the low level enemies before getting to anything new.

I’m working on adding a lot of the things you suggested, because I think they are great ideas that will make the game more accessible and easy to pick up.
For one of your last points, about reasons to continue playing the game: Do you think a post-game leaderboard showing who had the most kills, who did the most damage, who repaired the castle the most, etc. would help?
