Feedback on 1900 style gas station build

Hello, I currently took up a commission for a gas station, with a reference given to me. Realism isn’t my strong suit so I wanted feedback on how to make the station look better, as I currently find it less than appealing.

Note The use of textures outside of roblox were not allowed

P.S if anybody knows how to post images directly without need to click a link pls DM on dev forum, ty

you can just simply download or copy the image from the link, and then directly upload it. the same goes to when uploading a webm video or a GIF file. I’ll post the images here.

I like how clean and neat it is. though it feels a bit empty.

the roof here looked kinda unstable so I drew little pillars

maybe adding some props might make the room feel less empty??

The build looks overall pretty clean with a decent amount of details. Only thing that could be improved would be the interior roof, it looks very plain. You should definitely add some light models so it wouldn’t just be a surfacelight coming directly from the roof. A good idea would be to add neon material lights (I don’t know what lights they used back then, history is not my speciality) and insert a surfacelight into the roof - if that isn’t there yet - to give a smooth lighting effect. Using multiple spotlights for example can look bad.

Anyways, I really like the building style and the color choice, it really looks like the reference. Keep it up :+1:.

Thank you so much! Not the best with lights but I’ll try

Wow I missed some obvious features, really appreciate it! Tho making that cash register going to be a chore lol
