Feedback on 2 homestores I made

I made 2 homestores and was wondering what I could improve on and change.

The first one is really small. I also tried to change the lighting which I don’t usually do.

The second one is a little bigger but doesn’t have an exterior.

Any feedback is appreciated <3

I honestly really like the first one! I think the idea of a small little store is really nice compared to the massive stores in every other game. Maybe players could have a gui that changes the selection of clothes in the store?

Something where the store is filled with “Catalog 1”. Pressing a gui will switch it to “Catalog 2” and show different clothing on the same displays. I think it would be super cool!

Hello, both of those builds look real good but here’s some feedback :happy1:

First Store

Out of the two I like the second one, not much for functionality but for aesthetics.

  • I enjoy the environment that it is in, the colors used as well.

  • Personally, I would either take away the frame which holds the name of the store, and keep it just with the black plaque OR I would move the name with only the black plaque to the top of the door, and in that area (If you still feel like you need to fill that space) leave some room for a logo.

  • Extend the decoration that you have at the top roof area to the rest of the roof

  • I’d also personally would make a white trim at the ends of the walls, sorta like pillars. or I’d have it just have a white trim at the bottom of the structure.

  • The window looks nice and cute, the open sign can possibly be moved to the side of the door kind of sticking out like a sign, or even implement a door with an open sign. I do this just to free up that space so its not so busy in the entrance considering that the build is so small.

Yet, with all of this said it looks pretty good as is, and I think the GUI system @synical4 mentioned could be a good idea!

Second Store
To carry on what I said from above, this store has more functional usage then the other just because its so small.

  • It has a pretty classic setup with a front desk, clothes on a rack and ones hanging on the wall.

  • My suggestion is to possibly put a small table or floor cabinets where you have the hanging clothing, because the space there does look empty.

  • Also consider making a plaque of some sort at the middle of the front desk for either the logo or name of the store, since there’s no exterior. Or even you can have the name at the very back of the store.

  • The floor itself looks a bit plain. I would personally have at 3 stripe pattern. Both sides a darker wood color relatively wide, and in the middle it would be the thickest stripe. It could carry on that pattern you have on the back wallpaper.

Otherwise, its real good in functionality and both builds are great!

Keep up the good work,
-Sail
