You might have been scrolling through the forum and encountered my post. Well, whatever it was, you’re here now. I have recently hopped onto blender and decided to make a 3D model of sushi for an upcoming game. I have textured it and made sure it was as realistic as possible.
I would like some constructive criticism and feedback on it.
It took a bit of time to make it look like that, but in the end it came out as I wanted it to. If you put effort into something, it’ll come out pretty nice.
For the rice and seaweed I did add a bit of displacement but mainly bump. I thought of the rice as compressed down so that it could stay in that form because if you look at real sushi, the rice does not stick out much. Thank you for your feedback though and I will try adding more displacements.
The seaweed looks like plastic, and the salmon looks like a rock in some areas. The rice also does not protrude, it’s like a paper with a printed image on it.
The wood is the most realistic part, which sort of is a secondary part. Try to make the rice protrude outward, and have the seaweed look like sandpaper.
Hey there. Thank you for the constructive critiscism. As for the seaweed, I have since added displacement and a bit of bump. For the rice, I have yet to work on it but I will make sure it protrudes a bit more. Thanks for your feedback.
At first, when I looked at the first photo I wasn’t sure, but when I see the finished product, IT’S AMAZING MAN! I don’t know if it will translate the same way in Roblox Studio.
Wow! Not much needs changing… The seaweed looks too much like a camo texture and the rice looks sorta like melted plastic or packing peanuts but still it looks great
