Feedback is welcome.
Looks nice, though lighting doesnt really fit the buildings. To me it seems like a wild western type of build
What is it with people and dark mode? Light mode is perfectly fine
I’m sorry, somehow the information I’ve said with the gif didn’t send but the image itself, but yeah. It’s just generally that the looks are fine on the build, in my own opinion they’re perfect.
I just wanted to suggest doing studio work in dark mode. That’s all.
Overall, looks pretty sick.
I’ve got two complaints though:
-
The lighting. It looks a bit odd for the environment - perhaps too blue. Depends on what style you’re going for.
-
Details. I do see the effort you put into the details, but if you’re aiming to make your build look better (in a non low-poly sense), then I suggest refining the smaller details. This may also apply to your texture(s). Here’s a good example: your fence.
It’s pretty blocky and the texture seems like plain white. Now of course, for the texture, you can add things like small stains, dirt, etc.
Architecture looks neat btw.
Thank you for the feedback! I do have a question on the details though. Do you think I should mostly use Blender when adding details or should I try to make my builds more high poly in studio? (Maybe by using Archimedes)
Well it totally depends on your preference and skill level.
Blender can be much harder and complicated than studio in most cases but, if done correctly, can help tremendously with detailed assets.
On the other hand, Roblox Studio is much simpler but outputs generally less detailed assets.
Furthermore, if you know how use Blender effeciently, then I’d go with Blender. If you’re not great with Blender and have a higher skill level in studio, I’d suggest using studio. Although, I personally use both, since you can achieve great detail in both softwares, but “rounder” things with Blender.
Personally, I’d use studio for a fence, since it doesn’t require much round edges or specific irregular shapes - unlike a nuke, for example.
Good luck!
