I’ve been working on Toss A Friend for the past few days, and I just finished an early, playable version I’d love to get feedback on!
Current state: This is an early build so there’s probably a few small bugs, and the models are largely placeholders rather than the final thing. I’ll be polishing all of that, but first I want to know if the game concept even works.
What I’d like feedback on:
Does the core loop feel satisfying / rewarding?
Does the overall “feel” (movement, pacing, controls) click?
Anything confusing or frustrating?
Is the game simple enough to understand the way a tutorial isn’t needed?
The game looks nice, but i think you should fix UIScaling on different devices, by using 0 offset and only scale. If you already created with offset, then download plugin for changing it to scale size and position with 0 offset. If you need help, I’d be happy to collaborate with you in Studio.
I played it for a good few minutes, I must say it is quite fun and I do see the appeal, however…
I’m not sure if its just because of my latency but the jittering/stuttering makes it quite unplayable especially as you go higher and higher (which is the main goal) at some points im tossing a good second before hitting the ground. I know theres probably not much you can do as its all serverside I assume, but I just want you to know.
What I think:
Apart from that, I do see a solid core loop, maybe abit lacking at the moment although I didnt get too far.
