Hello there! I just finished making a new GFX (Not used for anything, intended to be usable as a skyscraper ad). I’m not super proud of how this one came out, so if you have suggestions/feedback, please do share.
Wow Very Nice Keep it up
10/10
Very cool! I only have two recommendations:
Users pay a lot of attention to the face on the model. Make sure you pick the best face for your target audience, in this case a more niche face to the military theme might be good.
Watermark your work so others don’t pirate it!
It looks very good but it gives me a strange felling…
The guy is smiling even that the text is BORN TO KILL.
It would be slightly better if the solider would have a more serious face, but the GFX looks great.
Better than my recent GFX’s although one thing i see wrong alot of grain this can be easily fixed with the denoiser in compositing or in render settings.
Think of the text and how it is being represented in the art. Say born to kill once or twice, what word lingers in the air? Kill it is a word that has more weight put on it. This is your main theme, now how can you implement that word into art? Just remember what you think when you hear the word kill. Perhaps something like death, blood, weapons, violent, anger etc. base your art on those words, blood splatters, calm face with hidden hatred, fallen opponents on the floor?
Hope this helped a bit, also make sure to denoise your gfx
The grain was added intentionally in post, and it is a stylistic choice, but thanks for the feedback.
Historically I would probably sort out the problems by mainly the soldier’s webbing and his rifle. The webbing looks very plain and doesn’t contain all the pouches he’d need on the field, seems he has a few magazine pouches, a canteen, and maybe a small storage pouch.
His rifle looks like either an XM16E1 or M16A1 (really no difference besides a small assist on the right side of the gun), with a 30 round magazine. In the 1960s to 70s when the M16 was created, they used 20 round magazines that were straight, the gun the soldier is holding has the wrong magazine date.
In terms of the actual render, his helmet is too saturated compared to the rest of the image. I could also say his uniform is too desaturated compared to the rest of the image, either one I guess. Try toning the color of his helmet down.
The background looks too bright, and the lighting doesn’t match the direction of the character from the background, try to make the soldier side lit instead of what seems to be mostly top lit. Tone the background brightness a bit lower.
The image isn’t too bad and probably would get a lot of new players for a group or game, although it has a bit too many flaws to be a good advertisement.
6.5/10 for me.
I like the GFX the texture on the overall ad banner looks really good. Keep up the good work!!
