Feedback on a UI screen?

Hey, so before I dive into this post, I’m obviously not a UI designer. This screen is for my bowling game that I’ve been trying to make. I probably spent about an hour or so on this draft. I think it looks decent, but wondered if there’s some stuff I could improve with it. I sort of feel it also needs an indication specifically for the “Finger Grip Type” button, because I’m going to make it so when you click that button a menu pops up with different options in terms of what grips you can select.

Thanks

Suggestions

  • The close button is too big and too thin.

  • Your buttons are not consistent. The green button on the bottom should observe the same design with the one’s above. (Is it even a button?)

  • Try removing the white lines.

  • The green elements at the bottom are inconsistent with the blue elements. Try making it all blue.

  • You could turn the configuration window into a scrolling frame to save space.

It’s a nice design with some touches of google material

Very clean design, I love it! My only advice would be to Tween the UI.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Completely agree about the tweening!

I do have a question though. I feel like I need to make it more clear that every label on the top part of the screen is a button you can click on. For example, the “Finger Grip Type” might look like a read-only text label, but you can actually click it to change your grips…I feel like I did a poor job of making those little indications.

Any ideas??

I like the color ratio, really nice you did there. I have a few suggestions that I think would look better.

  • Round the corners
  • Make the buttons pop out a little
  • Bold the Headings

Good luck.
