Feedback on a vibe game thumbnail

Me and my collaborator would like some feedback on a render we made for a game thumbnail, a bit of backstory is that the game is a vibe game centered around a sandwich store.

This is sad. 30 minutes, 16 views and no comments.

It could use some work, the wall, and the floor. It looks… too plain. I’m not sure how to say this but yea. Maybe add some pictures and make the windows across the street a little different other than just squares. Im not sure what the purple particle is but eh yea. I think it looks pretty good but could use a little more.

Thanks for your feedback, we’re planning to create posters to put on the walls and were going to put decals on the windows to make it look like people are there.

Edit: I can link the game if you want to see everything(its only like 70% finished)

It needs people. (THEPOSTNEEDSTOBE30CHARACTERSLONG)

You can also later edit the photo and add some text and photoshop it a little to catch the viewer’s eye. I would also prefer you to maybe consider GFX. Other than that, Good Luck!

Oh, I hadn’t thought of adding people. Brilliant. Give this man a raise.

I linked the game if you want to check it out.

I agree with @MZ2007ZM on the fact that adding people, or a GFX thumbnail with characters enjoying the game. I would also add effects, make the picture look more lively.

Good luck on your game! :happy2:

The wall looks very plain. Add more decoration to it, like pillars or posters or even some neon signs poking out of it to give it that pop that your thumbnail needs.
I would also work on the lighting; where is the light coming from? You should add some candles or lights sticking out of the ceiling to show the source.
The neon in the background is very glaring and contrasting to the rest of the photo, so I’d suggest that you tone it down just a bit.
My suggestion would be to do something like this, using a tool like F3X (which is a very helpful plugin, get it if you can!)
If you can’t get the video, basically make the color a bit duller, enough so that it still glows but not nearly as much and also doesn’t capture as much eyesight, since you want the game to be seen rather than the background.
