Hello all. I’m looking for thoughts on what is holding my game back from greater popularity. It’s an odd game, unlike others on the platform. It has some elements which aren’t optimized for the platform – it takes a few minutes to get into, the game concept isn’t in any known genre, it is meant to be played with dozens of people, and it’s competitive. It has it’s fans who have played it for months, but ultimately, after five months past the release date, I’ve yet to fill a server. This is with advertising, usually my CPP is 7-20 for PC and near all my new players come from running sponsorships. When the server is empty, new players nearly always leave within a minute. When there are a good number of players on, about half finish the tutorial. When the game had stable players, my best metric was average playtime, and it hovered around 20 minutes.
That’s all just context, really I’m looking for any immediate thoughts and suggestions, if anyone would be so kind to provide them. I don’t mind negativity or criticism.
Yes, it is only really active when I perform advertising. Once that stops the game typically trails off in players after several days until completely dead.
Currently I give out in-game currency for inviting your friends and also a daily log-in bonus. I don’t have a group and I’m not sure how getting people to join a group would translate into getting more new players.
Amazing and original game! One thing that’s a bit nick-picky is for the tools to not use Roblox’s default tool system, and to use a custom tool system, because that would give you more customization options and it would make it fit into the rest of the game’s aestheic.

I didn’t see any of those elements…? Everything seems optimized enough.
I remember playing your game some time ago, it was actually pretty fun. The gameplay was pretty refreshing. I think what your game needs now is a bit of a remake. Make it feel much more colorful and alive, a similar aesthetic to a simulator. Currently the UI and builds feel a bit basic and a little dull. Add more ambience, give sound effects to everything you can, and overall make it as interactive as possible.
I suppose what you say is right, the look of the game is at odds with what works. I’m not a very good builder and I find the typical fisher price color schemes in Roblox games a bit gaudy, I’ll try to work within my limitations to make things more visually appealing.
