I’ve made a lot of posts about the Level 0 design for my Backrooms game and I’m hoping this will be the last one before I can finish building the level and make everything fully functional. Of course if I receive a significant amount of suggestions I may end up making another post.
Here’s the current design:
Floor looks unnaturally clean. Try placing some spills, stains and anything else along those lines to make it more realistic in the backrooms.
maybe use surface lights instead of spotlights if youre not using em? also maybe the outlines become a little bit lighter. I have nothing else to say really, it does look good…
If you know how, maybe make the Carpet a PBR material? Looks too flat. And the stains and dirt that @Deb0rahAliWilliams suggested. And the surface light thing. Overall, a good start!
Work on your lighting a bit more in the back rooms is a bright white light with little to no shadows floor is a bit clean I would make it carpet like with mud decals on it the walls follow the same theme and the roof also fits. It is a good start.
Pretty sure it already is a PBR material, not 100% sure though.
Already am.
Have you ever seen the original image? There’s like 7 shadows visible in it.
Same as before, the area in the original image is pretty clean. I know there are some spill of “Unknown liquid” however I personally prefer to have it almost 100% clean, maybe with the occasional stain here and there, after all, the game is called The Backrooms: Reimagined.
Did you use the “Materials” button on the top bar? The one that looks like a ball?
Yes, I did use it.
gah 30 letters
Okay. I was just wondering. From what I read on the Creator Documentation, PBR could look 3D. But ok. That’s fine. If you make a full game with this, I wanna try it out.
That’s the plan. Paid Alpha will probably release some time later this month, if not early August.
